Melissa Martin Ellis is an artist, writer and photographer. She believes that photography is an artform with limitless possibilities. 

Her paintings and photos have appeared in numerous New England exhibits and galleries, as well as in print media such as The Redwood Review, Newport This Week, Newport Life Magazine, Haunted Newport, The Boston Globe, The Providence Journal, Horseman’s Yankee Pedlar and Balancing the Tides literary magazine.

She and her husband Mark Ellis collaborated on the writing of The Everything Guide to Writing Graphic Novels from Adams Media, to be published in December 2007.  Her book on photography, The Everything Guide to Photography, 2nd Ed. will be published in the fall of 2007.

In November, 2007, Melissa  signed a contract with Adams Media to write The Everything Ghost Hunting. Thirty original photos will be in the book, which will explore today's ghost hunters and man's perpetual search to discover the ancient truths about the afterlife.
